For the 1st Friday of Miami Spice, the bestie and I have a tradition of going to Ruth's Chris because it is the only day of the week when they offer a 3-course lunch at the remarkable price of $23. Ruth's Chris is located in the heart of the beautiful City of Coral Gables.
On the Miami Spice Menu:
Appetizers: Your choice of (1) Steak House Salad (iceberg, baby arugula, baby lettuces, grape tomatoes, garlic croutons, red onions), (2) Caesar Salad (fresh romaine hearts, romano cheese, creamy caesar dressing, shaved parmesan and fresh ground black pepper) or (3) White Bean Chorizo Soup. I had the Steak House Salad with a vinaigrette and Georgie had the Caesar. Both were very good and fresh with just the right amount of dressing.
Entrées: Your choice of the 6oz petite filet or the broiled salmon over a bed of tomatoes with fresh squeezed lemon butter. Both are served with your choice of garlic mashed potatoes or creamed spinach. We both chose the filet with mashed potatoes. Just amazing!
Dessert: Mini Homemade Cheesecake with a side of chocolate bark. This was really, really good. The combination of the chocolate bark with the creaminess of the cheesecake was one I will not soon forget.
Summary: Phenomenal deal for $23. The corkage fee is a bit extreme at $20 but since we brought a bottle of Meiomi, it was worth it.
